The church of Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul dates from the second half of the 12th century. It was originally dedicated to Saint Peter alone. It was probably only at the beginning of the 18th century (1724) that the term Saint-Pierre was added, that of Saint-Paul. The history of the church is intimately linked to that of the city, and there is no doubt that the attacks and sieges to which it has been subjected correspond to transformations whose signs are visible on the building. In 1975, a series of movable works from this building were listed as historical monuments: the 16th-century stone statue of Christ holding the globe, a 16th-century stone statuette, the 16th-century painting Adoration of the Magi, the 18th-century marble altarpiece, the carved 17th century wooden panels surrounding the high altar and the 19th century wooden choir stalls. Another pearl of this church, the 17th century oak organ case.
