France 1 ist ein ikonisches französisches Segelboot, das 1970 auf Wunsch von Marcel Bich gebaut wurde, um Frankreich beim America’s Cup zu vertreten.
Dieses 12-Meter-Segelboot wurde vom berühmten Schiffbauingenieur André Mauric entworfen und nahm dreimal am Wettbewerb teil, 1970, 1974 und 1977.
France 1 ist ein wahres Symbol des französischen maritimen Know-hows und wurde 1992 als historisches Denkmal eingestuft, was seine Bedeutung für das französische nautische Erbe widerspiegelt.
Nach der Restaurierung ist das Segelschiff heute in Hyères beheimatet, wo es weiterhin fährt.

France 1 is an iconic French sailboat, built in 1970 at the request of Marcel Bich with the aim of representing France during the America’s Cup.
Designed by the famous naval architect André Mauric, this 12-meter sailboat took part in the competition three times, in 1970, 1974 and 1977.
A true symbol of French maritime know-how, France 1 was classified as a historical monument in 1992, reflecting its importance in the French nautical heritage.
After being restored, the sailboat is now based in Hyères, where it continues to sail.
France 1 thus represents a remarkable French maritime heritage, associated with the spirit of innovation, elegance and adventure of Marcel Bich.
