The corner tower of the castle

The Château de Poissons was surrounded by a vineyard on the hillside of Pechère. Part of this property was donated by the knight Aubert de Poissons to the abbey of Saint-Urbain in 1294. In the old building of the sixteenth century, forming a main building, was added a wing in 1708 by Nicolas Maillot de Gevoncourt, intended for receptions. The corner tower visible today, dates back to the end of the seventeenth century, the presence of fire vents makes it a defense tower. The large corner tower, dated 1684, has a vaulted guard room on ogive cross on the ground floor and retains upstairs a dovecote with mud balls, right reserved for the lord.

The water mill

Built by the monks of the abbey of Saint-Urbain in the eighteenth century at least is operated by a trough wheel, driven by water from a beer, diversion of Rongeant. It produced bread and feed. In 1900, it produced electricity for the village. It was also used for long sawing. It remained in operation until the middle of the 20th century. Saint-Aignan Church

It was rebuilt at the beginning of the 16th century by Robert de Lenoncourt, archbishop of Reims and abbot of Saint-Urbain, who crowned Francis I. The keystone of the first bay of the nave bears an inscription that states that the building was completed in 1526. Listed as a historical monument, it has rich furniture, including a richly carved beam of glory, 16th-century statues and 17th-century bas-reliefs.
