A small exhibition where you can admire a few volumes of the original edition of the Encyclopedia but also a relevant selection of 18th century books that have contributed to the popularization of knowledge. Indeed, our ancient collection contains treasures such as the Dictionary of the Fable of Chompré, the Traité élémentaire de chimie de Lavoisier or the Dictionnaire portatif des femmes célèbres de La Croix but also foundational stories of teaching such as the Émile or Rousseau’s education or Les aventures de Télémaque fils d'Ulysse by Fénelon and many others works that belong to this fascinating chapter of French cultural history.
