Begun in 1929, consecrated in 1954, in the Byzantine Revival style in the shape of a Latin cross with dome and numerous chochetons. On both sides, two cloisters overlook a forecourt of 140 m long and 70m wide on which there is a bell tower containing a carillon of 51 bells including a drone of 9 tons. The interior decoration of the basilica and crypt is entirely in mosaics.
