Museum of history and society, rich of important archaeological and ethnographic collections, the Museum of Normandy presents a panorama of the life of the populations on the territory of all Normandy, from prehistory to the great migrations of the high Middle Ages, from the changes in rural areas to the first upheavals in industrial society.
The permanent collections are displayed in the rooms of the former Logis des Gouverneurs of the Château de Caen in a scenography designed for a free visit and a rich program of activities for all audiences.
