The photographers of the Objectif Image 14 collective offer the result of a photographic work whose common thread is Caen (and its agglomeration) and the passage of time. Changes, developments, events, achievements that have occurred and occur over time. A city, its urban landscape, is what time has shaped. Over the course of the days, Caen has become a city where the traces of history and the activities of today blend harmoniously to make it one of the cities where it is good to live. The shots were taken in 2018, 2019 and 2020 with the aim of this photographic exhibition open to the general public coupled with the European Heritage Days. The exhibition, rich with a hundred photographs, allows each photographer to bring his own vision on the subject and develop his personal expression while highlighting the mutations that impact the daily life of Caennais. It is complemented by a series of photos focusing on certain heritage places in Caen that are little known and/or little accessible to the public. This work was carried out thanks to a partnership with the City of Caen and the ongoing collaboration of the Direction of Culture of the City of Caen. We would like to thank the ARDI for its support and expert advice during the preparation of this exhibition.

Church of the Old Saint-Sauveur. Built in the 11th and 12th centuries, it was rebuilt in the 14th and 15th centuries in Gothic style. Disused since 1791, it served as a butter market. Partially hit during the 1944 bombing, the choir’s vault no longer exists and it is still closed to the public. The nave now hosts cultural activities. To see the magnificent frescoes of the vaults.
