Guided tour of a thousand-year-old mill and flour production
Crossing the entrance porch, you will enter the garden. It is composed of ancient plants and vegetables. If you’re lucky, you’ll meet our gardeners, Corinne and Stéphane, who can help you find out.
At the back of the garden you will discover an exhibition of the work of Monsieur Claude Bienacel. It is a reproduction of the tapestry of Bayeux very finely embroidered on linen.
On the ground floor of the mill besides the mechanism operating the grinding wheels, the blutoir and the bag lift, you can also admire a magnificent collection of old weights and scales having served in different shops and markets.
You will see the new chataigner wheel installed in June 2020.
During these two days old, organic and local wheat flour, bread and pancakes made with our flour will be on sale.
The Friends of the Moulin de la Porte are eager to receive you and accompany you during your visit.
