In dieser Gruppenausstellung blickt die Galerie Rouge auf den humanistischen Trend zurück, der die französische Nachkriegsfotografie dominierte und zu ihrem weltweiten Ruhm beitrug. Diese Bewegung, die oft als naiv und universalistisch bezeichnet wird, hat jedoch sehr unterschiedliche Visionen vereint, von der dokumentarischen und sozialen Fotografie bis hin zu poetischen Schriften und facetischen Winken. Durch das Thema Paris und seine Darstellung wollten wir die Klischees und Kategorien überwinden, um einen vielfältigen, komplexen und in der Realität engagierten humanistischen Blick zu verteidigen.
Diese Ausstellung vereint die Werke von Édouard Boubat, Jean-Philippe Charbonnier, Robert Doisneau, Willy Ronis, Louis Stettner und Sabine Weiss. Die Fotografien von Martine Barrat über das Viertel La Goutte d'Or bieten einen zeitgenössischeren und politischeren Kontrapunkt, der dazu einlädt, einen anderen humanistischen Blick zu entdecken.

The Galerie Rouge proposes a collective exhibition of photographers traditionally associated with the humanist post-war movement. This movement, often described as naive, actually brings together multiple visions ranging from documentary and social photography, but also poetic or facetious. By exhibiting their photographs of Paris, we will present several humanist facets that have contributed to the fame of French photography around the world.

Dans cette exposition collective, La Galerie Rouge revient sur le courant humaniste qui a dominé la photographie française d’après-guerre et contribué à sa renommée à travers le monde. Souvent décrié comme naïf et universaliste, ce mouvement a pourtant réuni des visions très diverses, allant de la photographie documentaire et sociale, à des écritures poétiques, et des clins d’œil facétieux. A travers le thème de Paris et sa représentation, nous avons souhaité dépasser les clichés et les catégories afin de défendre un regard humaniste multiple, complexe et engagé dans le réel.
Cette exposition réunit les œuvres de Édouard Boubat, Jean-Philippe Charbonnier, Robert Doisneau, Willy Ronis, Louis Stettner et Sabine Weiss. Les photographies de Martine Barrat sur le quartier de La Goutte d’Or offrent un contrepoint plus contemporain et politique, invitant à découvrir un autre regard humaniste.
