This concert, with a spiritual theme, brings together Frank Martin’s Christmas Cantata and Bernard Reichel’s The Vision of Ezekiel, two choral works by 20th-century composers from French-speaking Switzerland, both inspired by biblical texts and characterised by the same emotional intensity. The concert will conclude with an excerpt from Johann Sebastian Bach’s famous Christmas oratorio.

Ce concert placé sous le signe de la spiritualité réunit la Cantate pour le temps de Noël de Frank Martin et La Vision d’Ézéchiel de Bernard Reichel, deux œuvres chorales de compositeurs romands du XXe siècle inspirées de textes bibliques et portées par une même intensité émotionnelle. Le concert se clôturera sur un extrait du célèbre oratorio de Noël de Johann Sebastian Bach.
