Rouen Normandie sites et monuments

Follow two iconic characters from this ancient ossuary, the Cat and the Gravedigger, on an immersive audio tour. Audioguides are available at the ticket office of Rouen Sites et Monuments, in the courtyard of the elder. Adult tour: During this immersive audioguided tour, let yourself be told about the Elder Saint-Maclou through the colorful story of an emblematic character of this ancient cemetery: the Gravedigger. Stories, legends and anecdotes, it is inexhaustible! By his side, you walk through the courtyard and discover the history of the Elder and the many lives that have passed through it, from its funeral past to today. But watch out for the Cat. A tasty and squeaky exchange takes place between the two characters making this sound experience as rich as it is funny.
Children’s Journey: In this audio-guided tour specially designed for children, the Cat leads the dance – or rather the tour! Proud of his nine lives, he gently mocks the gravedigger, whom he meets along the way. Dialogues and sound effects animate this discovery of the Elder of another genre. Through games that punctuate each observation point, the child enjoys discovering the Elder Saint-Maclou. Guided by the Cat, he goes in search of the many clues hidden in the architecture of the courtyard and in its macabre decorations.
You can also discover the history of the monument during a guided tour, every Sunday at 3pm.
