Originally from Japan (Kyoto), Rei Hayashimoto studied at the NIHON SHUJI Japanese Calligraphy Institute in Yokohama, before obtaining a master’s certificate (called «Sihan») in 2005, enabling him to teach. She has been practicing sumie since the age of 15. This technique, originally from China, was transmitted to Japan under the Kamakura era (12th-14th century) under the influence of Zen Buddhism. His practice is characterized by the use of wash: use of a single color diluted with black ink to obtain several shades of black and gray. Landscape and nature are the predominant subjects.
Included are the free visit of the historical monument, its gardens and the discovery of the current exhibition "Musical instruments, from tradition to the unusual".
