The Forgotten Painter, Gustave Caillebotte by Marie Castelain. Paris Musée d'Orsay Painting men, from October 8, 2024 to January 19, 2025. The exhibition Caillebotte (1848-1894) at the Musée d'Orsay focuses on the predilection of male figures and portraits of men. She seeks to show the modernity of this artist by the choice of subjects and by his framing. Passionate about canoeing, gardening and photography, Caillebotte remained long erased from the impressionists by his role as a collector and patron before being recognized as a painter.
