During the course, you will shape, decorate and enamel your clay sculptures, then experience their spectacular firing in the fire. You will leave with your cracked and/or smoked works in Raku.
Raku is a cooking technique of Korean origin that dates from the sixteenth. It was developed in Japan, especially for the tea ceremony.
Each work in Raku evokes the four elements:
Earth
The piece is modeled by hand or by the lathe in grooved clay.
Fire
The piece is fired for the first time at 900°C.
Then enamelled by rapid cooking
Exit from the oven at 1000°C and placed in burning wood chips
The air
The unglazed areas of the room are blackened in the smoke of the shavings.
Water
Soaked in a cold water bath, the temperature difference causes subtle or spectacular cracks in the enamel.

Pendant le stage, vous façonnerez, décorerez et émaillerez vos sculptures en argile, puis vous expérimenterez leur cuisson spectaculaire dans le feu. Vous repartirez avec vos oeuvres craquelées et/ou enfumées en Raku
Le Raku est une technique de cuisson d'origine coréenne qui date du XVIème. Elle fut développée au Japon, notamment pour la cérémonie du thé.
Chaque oeuvre en Raku évoque les quatre éléments :
La Terre
La pièce est modelée à la main ou au tour dans de l'argile chamottée.
Le Feu
La pièce est cuite une première fois à 900°C.
Puis émaillée par cuisson rapide
Sortie du four à 1000°C et posée dans des copeaux de bois en feu
L'Air
Les endroits non émaillés de la pièce sont noircis dans la fumée des copeaux.
L'Eau
Trempée dans un bain d'eau froide, l'écart de température provoque les craquelures subtiles ou spectaculaires de l'émail.

Tijdens de workshop zult u uw kleissculpturen vormgeven, decoreren en glazuur maken en vervolgens hun spectaculaire kookkunst in het vuur ervaren. U zult vertrekken met uw gebarsten en / of rokerige werken in Raku
Raku is een kooktechniek van Koreaanse oorsprong die dateert uit de XVIe. Het werd ontwikkeld in Japan, vooral voor de theeceremonie.
Elk werk in Raku roept de vier elementen op:
Aarde
Het stuk wordt gemodelleerd met de hand of door het draaien in gechamoteerde klei.
Vuur
Het stuk wordt voor het eerst gebakken bij 900°C.
Daarna geëmailleerd door snel koken
Verlaat de oven bij 1000 °C en leg ze in brandende houtspaanders
De lucht
De niet-geëmailleerde plaatsen van de kamer zijn zwart in de rook van de chips.
Water
Gedrenkt in een koud waterbad, veroorzaakt het temperatuurverschil subtiele of spectaculaire scheuren van het emailel.
