In the face of climate challenges, resource scarcity, health issues, and changing lifestyles, our diet is bound to change. But what will tomorrow’s plate look like? What changes are already underway? And how to reconcile pleasure, accessibility, innovation and sustainability?
This conference invites you to decipher the major trends that are shaping tomorrow’s food. It will also present to you how scientific research contributes to anticipating and enriching this evolution, particularly here in the Hauts-de-France. A meeting to better understand the ongoing changes, exchange and imagine solutions that will build our food future.
And who knows, maybe even taste new foods?

This conference will be given by Rozenn Ravallec, professor at the University of Lille and Director of the Joint Research Unit for cross-border BioEcoAgro. It coordinates research programs and industrial partnerships on the sustainable processing of regional biomass (chicory, algae...), the production and characterization of high value-added molecules or the impact of digested proteins and ingredients on health.
Rozenn Ravallec is also ambassador of the 2026 Science Festival for the Hauts-de-France region.

Face aux enjeux climatiques, à la raréfaction des ressources, aux questions de santé et à l'évolution de nos modes de vie, notre alimentation est appelée à évoluer. Mais à quoi ressemblera l'assiette de demain ? Quels changements sont déjà en marche ? Et comment concilier plaisir, accessibilité, innovation et durabilité ?
Cette conférence vous propose de décrypter les grandes tendances qui façonnent l'alimentation de demain. Elle vous présentera également en quoi la recherche scientifique contribue à anticiper et à enrichir cette évolution, notamment ici, dans les Hauts-de-France. Une rencontre pour mieux comprendre les mutations en cours, échanger et imaginer les solutions qui construiront notre avenir alimentaire.

L'intervenante
Cette conférence sera donnée par Rozenn Ravallec, professeure à l’Université de Lille et Directrice de l'Unité Mixte de Recherche transfrontalière BioEcoAgro. Elle coordonne des programmes de recherche et partenariats industriels sur la transformation durable de la biomasse régionale (chicorée, algues..), la production et la caractérisation de molécules à haute valeur ajoutée ou à l'impact des protéines et ingrédients digérés sur la santé.
Rozenn Ravallec est également ambassadrice de la Fête de la science 2026 pour les Hauts-de-France.

Een conferentie over de voedseltransitie met Rozenn Ravallec, ambassadeur van de Wetenschapsdag 2026 in Hauts-de-France.
Wat als de komende voedseltransitie een ongelooflijke bron van kansen was?
Geconfronteerd met klimaatproblemen, schaarste aan hulpbronnen, gezondheidsproblemen en veranderende levensstijlen, zal ons dieet veranderen. Maar hoe zal de plaat van morgen eruit zien? Welke veranderingen zijn al aan de gang? En hoe verzoent u plezier, toegankelijkheid, innovatie en duurzaamheid?
Deze conferentie biedt u de mogelijkheid om de belangrijkste trends te ontcijferen die het dieet van morgen vormgeven. Het zal ook laten zien hoe wetenschappelijk onderzoek bijdraagt aan het anticiperen op en verrijken van deze evolutie, vooral hier in Hauts-de-France. Een bijeenkomst om de veranderingen in gang te zetten beter te begrijpen, uit te wisselen en oplossingen voor te stellen die onze voedseltoekomst zullen bouwen.
En wie weet, misschien zelfs nieuwe voedingsmiddelen proeven?

Deze conferentie zal worden gegeven door Rozenn Ravallec, hoogleraar aan de Universiteit van Lille en directeur van de gemeenschappelijke eenheid voor grensoverschrijdend onderzoek BioEcoAgro. Het coördineert onderzoeksprogramma's en industriële partnerschappen over de duurzame transformatie van regionale biomassa (cichorei, algen, enz.), de productie en karakterisering van moleculen met een hoge toegevoegde waarde of de impact van verteerde eiwitten en ingrediënten op de gezondheid.
Rozenn Ravallec is ook ambassadeur van de Wetenschapsdag 2026 voor Hauts-de-France.
