International African Performance Festival #2
The International African Festival of Performances, F.I.A.P, returns to repeat the feat for its second edition, entitled "MALOBA ya".
MALOBA, meaning "words" in Lingala, is the hallmark of the human being in general, and the African in particular. Indeed, in addition to the simple handling of language that we all acquire in the first years of our lives and which enables us to communicate, the handling of speech, or "speaking", is the subject of great attention in African cultures. The FIAP festival, in its N°2 edition, MALOBA ya 2023, places the spoken word in terms of performative artistic and socio-cultural expressions of contemporary African society, and brings this expressivity back to African society, as it is the only thing that unites peoples.
New this year, in addition to the artistic performances, is the FIAP Village. You'll see for yourself... the FIAP Village in the colors of the Afro and African markets.
FIAP is a cultural globalization of contemporary African arts and crafts. We're turning to our continent, because the power of its orality is unique in the world. Is the FIAP festival not migrating to a sedentary action in one place for the 3 days of its future editions? Wait and see!
