Fabe Gryphin, Singer-Songwriter und Pianist aus Nyon, tut sich mit dem Multi-Instrumentalisten und Produzenten Saint Estrela zusammen, um „Kill the King“ vorzustellen – ein Album an der Schnittstelle von Folk, Rock und Indie, geprägt von Country-Einflüssen. Ein verstimmtes Klavier, das er von seinem verstorbenen Vater geerbt hat, und Lieder, die wie offene Briefe geschrieben sind. Fabe Gryphin wendet sich vom Rap-Jazz-Elektro-Pop seiner Anfänge ab, um seinen Fokus wieder auf den Gesang, die Emotionen und einen reduzierteren Ansatz zu richten. An der Seite von Saint Estrela komponiert er ein Folk-Rock-Album mit Country-Anklängen – eine Möglichkeit, das Vertraute hinter sich zu lassen, um sich neu zu erfinden und mit dem Unbekannten zu flirten. Inspiriert vom Erbe der 70er Jahre, allen voran Bob Dylan und die Beatles, steht dieses Album auch im Dialog mit einer zeitgenössischeren Szene: Kevin Morby, Bon Iver oder Zach Bryan. Anlässlich der Vernissage in der Usine à Gaz werden Fabe Gryphin & Saint Estrela von einer neuen Band begleitet, bestehend aus Mathieu Karcher, Pablo Diserens und Vic Perrin.

Fabe Gryphin, a singer-songwriter and pianist from Nyon, has teamed up with multi-instrumentalist and producer Saint Estrela to present Kill the King, an album at the crossroads of folk, rock, and indie, tinged with country influences. An out-of-tune upright piano inherited from his late father and songs written like open letters. Fabe Gryphin is moving away from the rap-jazz-electro-pop of his early days to refocus his work on vocals, emotion, and a more stripped-down approach. Alongside Saint Estrela, he has crafted a folk-rock album with country accents—a way to leave the familiar behind, reinvent himself, and flirt with the unknown. Inspired by the legacy of the 1970s—with Bob Dylan and the Beatles at the forefront—this album also engages with a more contemporary scene: Kevin Morby, Bon Iver, and Zach Bryan. For the album launch at Usine à Gaz, Fabe Gryphin & Saint Estrela will be joined by a new band featuring Mathieu Karcher, Pablo Diserens, and Vic Perrin.

Fabe Gryphin, auteur-compositeur-interprète et pianiste originaire de Nyon, s’associe au multi-instrumentiste et producteur Saint Estrela pour présenter Kill the King, un album à la croisée du folk, du rock et de l’indie, teinté d’influences country. Un piano droit désaccordé hérité de son père disparu et des chansons écrites comme des lettres ouvertes. Fabe Gryphin délaisse le rap-jazz-électro pop de ses débuts pour recentrer son travail sur le chant, l’émotion et une approche plus dépouillée. Aux côtés de Saint Estrela, il compose un disque folk-rock aux accents country, une façon d’abandonner le familier pour se réinventer et flirter avec l’inconnu. Inspiré par l’héritage des années 70, Bob Dylan et les Beatles en tête, cet album dialogue également avec une scène plus contemporaine : Kevin Morby, Bon Iver ou Zach Bryan. À l’occasion du vernissage à l’Usine à Gaz, Fabe Gryphin & Saint Estrela seront accompagnés d’un nouveau groupe composé de Mathieu Karcher, Pablo Diserens et Vic Perrin.
