The sensory garden "Helen Keller", created by Fondazione Orto Botanico Universitario in collaboration with Lions Clubs and other donors, is a garden where everyone can enjoy the beauty of plants in different shades. Specialized guides will provide comprehensive information support.
Free admission, booking with message whatsapp (date and number of people). Maximum groups of 10 people. From 10.00 to 12.00 Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 June.

The Botanical Garden of Salento is a structure managed by a Foundation with public participation, responsible for carrying out cultural, social, educational, study, research and educational activities, in the environmental and protection fields, conservation and enhancement of plant biodiversity. L'Orto is located adjacent to the ring road east of Lecce, extending for about 13 hectares east of the city, in a sub-flat area previously used for grazing sheep. It maintains unaltered small areas of pseudosteppe at Stipa austroitalica Martinovský subsp. austroitalica with spontaneous orchid blooms. The Botanical Garden recently took part in a regional project on the conservation of biodiversity, which allowed the development of thematic collections of fruit cultivars. The area develops according to habitat reconstructions compatible with the climatic and pedological characteristics of the area and thematic collections.
