Cancelled at short notice: Rendezvous in the Schlosspark Ballenstedt
Due to heavy rain and floods, the castle park had to be closed on 27 May. Unfortunately, due to water damage or continuous heavy rain, entry is not possible on the rendezvous weekend. The Ballenstedt Palace Park is a garden artwork of the 18th and 19th century, created by the famous garden artist Peter Joseph Lenné. Every year, thousands of visitors find peace and relaxation in the 29-hectare landscape park with its valuable old trees and its terraced water axis or at the ponds. The cast-iron lion in the western part of the park is a popular photo opportunity for many visitors. The castle mill, which was built in 1785 and has been renovated in accordance with the monument, is located in the middle of the castle park and today includes a sculptor’s studio and a gallery.
