Ears open: The "zipp" of the Zippammer can only be heard occasionally in the southwest of Germany. She prefers it warm and sunny and appreciates mountains or rocky terrain. In the vineyards near Rüdesheim, Zippammer and Zaunammer have been regularly observed and listened to for several years. The roundish bird lives withdrawn and is therefore often overlooked. After switching to the other side of the Rhine, bee-eaters and Orpheus mockers will be visited near Ingelheim.
