In the evening, when dusk falls, the banana butterflies (also called owls) become active and flutter around the visitors in almost silent dance. At the same time you can hear the numerous obstetrician' toads, which hide during the day between the stones and roots on the ground. Their bright, bell-like calls have earned them the name "Bell Frog", and you might even spot one of these toads. With even more luck, perhaps even a male who has wrapped the incisions around his hind legs and carries them around with him until the tadpoles hatch and then release them into the water. This behavior has earned them the name "midwife toads".
