Giardini del Priorato di San Pietro
Cavallermaggiore
On the one hand, the green breath of the Priory of San Pietro, linked to the ancient medieval conception of the "garden of the simple", with the presence of species cultivated for utilitarian purposes only. On the other hand, four regular sectors separated by paths that propose the so-called Tintorio Garden, a space characterized by herbaceous and shrubby species once used for dyeing fabrics and silk in particular, whose traditional processing through silkworm cultivation is recalled by a mulberry plant placed in a central position. A splendid space-time union whose charm is enhanced by a rare cultural combination given by the elegant Romanesque church of San Pietro (IX-X century), the new Civic Library and the school complex. An area for reading and reflection, teaching and socializing for a corner of the city to live and enjoy season after season.
