Vor 100 Jahren war das Viertel Le Trébon noch ein Weizenfeldkomplex. Heute ist es das bevölkerungsreichste Viertel von Arles. Zwischen Villen, Wohnsiedlungen und Hochhausgeländer verdoppeln die Architekten ihre Fantasie - und ihren Stahlbeton -, um nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg eine schnell wachsende Bevölkerung zu beherbergen. Bei einem Spaziergang um die 500 Wohnungen entdecken wir die Architektur und den Lebensraum des 20. Jahrhunderts in Arles.

One hundred years ago, the Trébon district was still a collection of wheat fields. Today, it is the most populated district of Arles. Between villas, housing estates and building blocks, architects redoubled imagination – and reinforced concrete – to quickly house a growing population at the end of the Second World War. During a walk around the 500 apartments, we discover the architecture and housing of the 20th century.

Cento anni fa, il quartiere del Trébon era ancora un insieme di campi di grano. Oggi è il quartiere più popoloso di Arles. Tra ville, insediamenti residenziali e barre di edifici, gli architetti rinnovano la loro immaginazione - e il cemento armato - per ospitare rapidamente una popolazione in crescita all'indomani della seconda guerra mondiale. Nel corso di una passeggiata intorno alle 500 abitazioni, scopriamo l'architettura e l'habitat del XX secolo arlesiano.

Il y a 100 ans, le quartier du Trébon était encore un ensemble de champs de blé. Aujourd’hui, c’est le quartier le plus peuplé d’Arles. Entre villas, lotissements pavillonnaires et barres d’immeubles, les architectes redoublent d’imagination – et de béton armé – pour loger rapidement une population croissante au sortir de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Au fil d’une balade autour des 500 logements, découvrons l’architecture et l’habitat du XXe s. arlésien.

Hace cien años, el barrio del Trébon era todavía un conjunto de campos de trigo. Hoy es el barrio más poblado de Arles. Entre villas, urbanizaciones de viviendas y barras de edificios, los arquitectos redoblan su imaginación -y hormigón armado- para alojar rápidamente a una población en aumento tras la segunda guerra mundial. A lo largo de un paseo alrededor de las 500 viviendas, descubrimos la arquitectura y el hábitat del siglo XX arlésiano.
