Narrated visit from 5 years old around the collective exhibition : "Shaping the invisible"
As part of the finishing of the exhibition “Shaping the Invisible”, come and discover the works of the 8 artists in a new light. Indeed, these called up stories in the imagination of storyteller Christine Métrailler. During this visit like no other, come and listen to them and try to discover which work has awakened which story...
The town of Plan-les-Ouates presents a collective exhibition on the theme of gesture, explored from various angles throughout this year by the Cultural Service . Here, the gesture is approached through the prism of technological advances. From September 11 to October 6, HiFlow welcomes in the Hub.i3 more than 32 works by 8 Swiss and international contemporary artists, with loans from Pace Gallery and Gowen Contemporary Gallery.
Artists: Olga Titus, Manon Pretto, Arnaud Sancosme, Zoé Tullen, Ako Atikossie, Claude Cortinovis, Leo Villareal, Lucas Samaras
Intelligent machines have populated our imaginations for a long time and science fiction has played a fundamental role in the dissemination of stories about our interactions with robots. With works that oscillate between the true and the false, the exhibition “Shaping the invisible” invites you to question the role of new technologies in an increasingly virtual world. How can automated inventiveness coexist with human creativity? In order to explore these questions, the chosen works encourage us to focus on a major shift: that of the technical gesture to the technological gesture. In other words, our activities, which were traditionally the expression of know-how, are increasingly delegated to machines. A significant transformation not only in the field of art but within our society in general. It reflects the decisive impact of technology on our daily lives, including in artistic creation.
