The Plan-les-Ouates Musical Weekend is aimed at young musicians aged 7 to 16 playing different instruments and offers them the chance to play together for a whole weekend. Small groups of 3 to 8 musicians are formed as soon as registration closes (December 2024) depending on the age, instrument and musical level of each person. Each ensemble is led over the weekend by a qualified music teacher. Each participant receives a few weeks in advance the scores of the pieces they will perform during the weekend. It is strongly recommended that everyone prepare their scores well in order to guarantee the quality of group work. A choir is planned to alternate with the music lessons, for which participants will also receive the lyrics.
To close the weekend, the children will give a free concert on Sunday March 30, at 4:30 p.m., at the Espace Vélodrome.
