On the weekend of 4 and 5 November, MEG will be celebrating the spoken word! Come and take part in a series of events around the temporary exhibition "Être(s) ensemble".
As part of the Weekend Paroles, three 30-minute concerts of the Alphorn will be held on Saturday 4 November 2023 in the MEG Garden.
The corps des Alpes, now an emblematic Swiss instrument, was for a long time a tool for cowherds. It was used to call the cows to the cowshed at milking time. It was therefore an instrument of communication, later becoming the emblematic instrument of the Helvetic nation.

Le week-end du 4 et 5 novembre c’est la parole qui est à l’honneur au MEG ! Venez participer à une série de propositions autour de l’exposition temporaire «Être(s) ensemble».
Dans le cadre du Week-end Paroles, 3 concerts de Cor des Alpes de 30mn ont lieu le samedi 4 novembre 2023, dans le Jardin du MEG.
Le corps des Alpes, aujourd'hui devenu un instrument emblématique suisse, a longtemps été un outil pour les vachers. Il était en effet utilisé pour appeler les vaches à l'étable au moment de la traite. Il s'agissait donc d'un instrument de communication, devenant par la suite l'instrument emblématique de la nation helvétique.
