Mundurukuyu - La forêt des femmes-poissons
The MEG's Sunday film screenings continue for another season, focusing on essential and topical issues that echo the permanent exhibition.
Documentaries, fiction films and animated films addressing these themes are screened free of charge in the Museum Auditorium one or two Sundays per month.
The MEG is once again partnering with the Green Film Festival for a screening.
Film: Mundurukuyu - The Forest of Fish Women
On the banks of the Tapajós River in the Amazon, the forest of fish women reflects Munduruku mythology, according to which humans, at the beginning of the world, transformed themselves into forests, plants and animals. In the daily life of the village of Sawre Muybu, the spirits of the forest are not only ancestral spiritual forces, but an integral part of the family.
The screening will be followed by a round table discussion related to the film.
The discussion will be held in French.

Les ciné-dimanches du MEG continuent pour une saison autour de notions essentielles et actuelles faisant écho à l'exposition permanente.
Des films documentaires, des fictions et des films d'animation abordant ces thématiques sont projetés gratuitement dans l'Auditorium du Musée un ou deux dimanche(s) par mois.
Le MEG s'associe à nouveau avec le Festival du film vert pour une projection.
Film : Mundurukuyu - La forêt des femmes-poissons
Sur les rives du fleuve Tapajós, en Amazonie, la forêt des femmes-poissons reflète la mythologie munduruku, selon laquelle les humains, à l'origine du monde, se sont transformés en forêt, en plantes et en animaux. Dans la vie quotidienne du village Sawre Muybu, les esprits de la forêt ne sont pas seulement des forces spirituelles ancestrales, mais font partie intégrante de la famille.
La projection sera suivi d'une table-ronde en lien avec le film.
La discussion se tiendra en français.
