Memorial Ascq 1944: free admission and guided tour on the 4th Sunday
The Memorial Ascq 1944 opens its doors for free on the 4th Sunday from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. A guided tour through Ascq is organized free of charge at 3:30 pm.
The guided route through the streets of Ascq allows you to discover the highlights of the tragedy to better understand the course of events: location of the sabotage, station square, center of Ascq. Stops in front of some houses of massacred allow to better understand the sufferings of the victims and their families and the dread that knew the population of Ascq.
It is also an opportunity to discover how the memory of the event was inscribed throughout the village (changes of street names, commemorative plaques).
