Panorama 22 is placed under the theme of the sentinels, a word which designates several meanings of which one allows to evoke the figure of the artist, today, for its part, of vigilance, of clairvoyance, of watch, of awakening. The sentry is at the forefront, at the outpost. From dawn to night, it scrutinizes the horizon, poses at the edge or on the other side of the body, life, death, it illuminates the other world, the other side of the border, the overseas. The works of Panorama 22 explore the relationship between the recorded reality and the waking dream, between the ground and the sky, between the observed world and the hallucinated vision, between darkness and light. They invent transit images, unveil shadows and abysses, propose constellations and breaths. They’re standing right there in front of our wide-eyed eyes.
