There would be an abundance of artists and works in the world who tell us about fake news – these intentional creations of fake news. So much so that we could make an exhibition of it. Are you sure of that? And if all this was ultimately only fiction, that lie...
After a first visible occurrence from May 2021 to January 2022 in Paris, the EDF Group Foundation is partnering with La Condition Publique to propose a second version: FAKE NEWS 2 ART FICTION MENSONGE. Enriched with new works, it offers other possibilities for reading the subject, still as topical in 2023.
This exhibition invites us to question our own relationship with information, truth and deception, identity, history and current events, the media and the internet as well as social networks. Through the prism of their gaze, the artists take a step aside from reality, inviting us to consider the boundary, so fine, between the «true» and the «false».
