Once upon a time…
“A magical phrase that gathered all the children of the house around the grandmother. I have kept these treasures and all the emotions they awakened in the memory of my heart.” Halima, a Moroccan storyteller, perpetuates a family tradition. She draws from oral literature the majority of the stories she tells, in Arabic and French.
Kan ya ma kan…
«The ghoula» pronounces «roll», like its female counterpart «the ghoula», are monstrous ogres with great powers and great appetite. They have an infallible flair for detecting human smell. Hdidane the cunning, abandoned in ogre land, will have to play cunning to triumph over the terrible Ghoula. But sometimes ghoulas come to the aid of humans. Young and old alike will be delighted by the voice, emotion and imagination of storyteller Halima Hamdane!

Il était une fois…
« Formulette magique qui rassemblait tous les enfants de la maison autour de la grand-mère. J’ai gardé ces trésors et toutes les émotions qu’ils ont éveillées dans la mémoire de mon cœur. »

Kan ya ma kan…
« Le ghoule » prononcez « roule », comme son pendant féminin « la ghoula », sont des ogres monstrueux dotés de grands pouvoirs et d’un grand appétit. Ils ont un flair infaillible pour détecter l’odeur humaine. Hdidane le rusé, abandonné en terre d’ogre, devra jouer de ruse pour triompher de la terrible Ghoula. Mais il arrive que les ghoules viennent en aide aux humains. Petits et grands seront enchantés par la voix, l’émotion et l’imaginaire de la conteuse Halima Hamdane !

Halima, een Marokkaanse verhalenverteller, houdt een familietraditie in stand. Ze ontleent de meeste verhalen die ze vertelt, in het Arabisch en Frans.

«De ghoula» spreekt «roll» uit, net als zijn vrouwelijke tegenhanger «de ghoula», zijn monsterlijke ogres met grote krachten en grote eetlust. Ze hebben een onfeilbare flair voor het detecteren van menselijke geur. Hdidane de sluwe, verlaten in Ogre land, zal sluw moeten spelen om te zegevieren over de verschrikkelijke Ghoula. Maar soms komen ghoulas mensen te hulp. Jong en oud zullen blij zijn met de stem, emotie en verbeelding van verhalenverteller Halima Hamdane!
