Attend a demonstration of basketry and discover an ancestral know-how reinvented.
Stéphane Forêt-Deleau will present his profession, the techniques of wicker weaving and how this natural material becomes the starting point for resolutely contemporary creations.
Inspired by the forms of life, his sculptural works play with organic volumes, textures, transparency and subtle shades of color. Monumental or suspended, they go beyond the utilitarian function of basketry to become true artistic creations that fully invest space.
This meeting will also be an opportunity to exchange with a craftsman who pushes the boundaries of traditional basketry and makes wickerwork an artistic language in constant evolution.
