A true institution in Ireland, Feis Ceoil is the largest national classical music competition. Founded in 1896 to promote excellence in musical training and performance, the festival annually brings together some 5,000 participants of all ages, divided into nearly 200 competitions.
The CCI is delighted to partner with this prestigious festival for the fourth year to present these weekend concerts by the talented Laoise McMullin. A pianist, harpsichordist, and composer, she specialises in historically informed performance and 20th century music. Laoise is the recipient of numerous awards and bursaries, including the Mabel Swainson Pianoforte Award at the Feis Ceoil 2025, the Lumcloon Energy Award at the Birr Festival of Music 2025, and the Lucien and Maura Teissier Bursary in 2023. She was also a finalist in the Irish Freemasons Young Musician of the Year. As a composer, Laoise has had works commissioned by the National Gallery of Ireland and Matheson LLP.
On the occasion of the JEP, she will offer us six short concerts about 20 mn long Saturday and Sunday at 14h, 15h and 16h.
