Das Schloss Faye, das vom 15. bis 18. Jahrhundert die Residenz der Herren von Auriac war, wurde aus einem alten Wachturm des Alarm- und Verteidigungssystems gebaut, das im 13. Jahrhundert von Alphonse de Poitiers organisiert wurde, um die Burg von Montignac vor englischen Überfällen in Thenon zu schützen. Dieser «Bergfried» wurde im 14. oder 15. The castle of Faye which was the residence of the lords of Auriac from the 15th to the 18th century, was built from an old watchtower of the warning and defense system organized in the 13th century by Alphonse de Poitiers to protect the castle of Montignac from the English raids installed in Thenon. This «keep» was accosted in the fourteenth or fifteenth century of two massive towers that made the Faye, during the Hundred Years War, an important fortified house. The whole forms the south facade of the current castle.

Questo «dungeon» fu approdato nel XIV o XV secolo da due torri massicce che hanno fatto della Faye, durante la guerra dei cento anni, una casa forte importante. Le château de la Faye qui fut la résidence des seigneurs d'Auriac du XVe au XVIIIe siècle, a été construit à partir d'une ancienne tour de guet du système d'alerte et de défense organisé au XIIIe siècle par Alphonse de Poitiers pour protéger la châtellenie de Montignac des raids Anglais installés à Thenon.
Ce « donjon » fut accosté au XIVe ou XVe siècle de deux tours massives qui ont fait de la Faye, pendant la guerre de Cent Ans, une maison forte importante. L'ensemble forme la façade sud du château actuel.
