Unermüdliche Reisende auf den Straßen der orientalischen Musik - vom Mittelmeer bis an die Grenzen Asiens - Emmanuelle Troy und Luc Girardeau, vereint unter dem Namen Trans-Eurasier, machen sich zu Botschaftern und Schleppern von Traditionen, die so schön wie unbekannt sind. Mit einer äußerst kommunikativen Leidenschaft erforschen sie diese faszinierenden «Gesänge der Seele» und bieten mit ihrem eigenen kulturellen und musikalischen Hintergrund eine zeitgenössische und persönliche Neuinterpretation.
Zu ihrer eigenen inneren Reise laden sie uns ein, zu einer großen Reise, einem fortschreitenden Weg vom Westen in den Osten, zwischen europäischem, jüdischem, arabischem, persischem und asiatischem Erbe.
Vom sephardischen Spanien über die Mongolei, über Griechenland, die Türkei, Kurdistan, Georgien, Armenien, Iran, Zentralasien, Tibet, China, gehen sie auf den Spuren von Marco Polo und anderen großen Reisenden - Abenteurern der Seidenstraße.
Ein hochkarätiges Reisetagebuch, das Musik, Lesungen und Videos auf Erkundungs-, Austausch- und Exilrouten kombiniert. Weit entfernt von jeglicher touristischen Exotik, im Einklang mit der Geschichte und der Aktualität, geht es hier um mündliche Übertragung, Neugier und gemeinsame Emotionen, und über die Grenzen hinweg, von Ort zu Ort.

Emmanuelle Troy and Luc Girardeau, who meet under the name of Trans-Eurasians, are tireless travellers on the roads of Eastern music – from the Mediterranean to the borders of Asia.
