Reverend Joseph Wilson Cochran was the pastor who guided the construction of this 15th century gothic church. The beautiful stained glass windows follow the chronology of the Protestant faith, with the penultimate window displaying the theme of French American alliance, with George Washington and General La Fayette about to shake hands. The majestic Beckerath organ at the front of the church has 4 keyboards and 3,328 pipes, and its housing was sculpted by hand, taking 900 hous of work, by Gunther Hamann. The organ was inaugurated in 1988.

In the chapel is displayed a painting by Canadian expat Frank M. Armington; it is called "Christ contemplating Jerusalem."

The church also boasts two Tiffany windows, created in 1901 by Louis Comfort Tiffany in his New York studios. They are classified as French national monuments.
