To mark the 50th anniversary of the death of Marguerite Roesgen-Champion, the HEM is honouring the work and exceptional career of the Geneva-based composer, pianist and harpsichordist through a special day of events and an exhibition. This event offers a multifaceted, artistic and musicological perspective on Roesgen-Champion and her remarkable contribution to the modern harpsichord repertoire.
A special exhibition in the Reading Room, drawn from the collections of the CMG-HEM Library, will trace her career and highlight the richness of her work, whilst placing it within the context of the harpsichordists of her time.
OPENING RECEPTION – Thursday 15 October 2026 from 4.00 pm

Regards sur une compositrice genevoise et le clavecin moderne

À l’occasion des 50 ans de la disparition de Marguerite Roesgen-Champion, la HEM met à l’honneur l’œuvre et le parcours exceptionnel de la compositrice, pianiste et claveciniste genevoise à travers une journée spéciale et une exposition. Cette journée propose un regard croisé, artistique et musicologique sur Roesgen-Champion et son apport remarquable au répertoire du clavecin moderne.
Une exposition exceptionnelle à la Salle de lecture, constituée à partir des fonds de la Bibliothèque du CMG-HEM, retracera son parcours et mettra en lumière la richesse de son œuvre, tout en inscrivant son travail dans le contexte des clavecinistes de son temps.
