Sécantes is a group exhibition bringing together five artists from the Diament 15 Montreuil collective—Celia Boulesteix, Flavie L.T., Julie Laporte, Bérénice Lefebvre, and Léa Rivera Hadjes—as well as curator Marie Auger. The project unfolds in two phases: an initial exhibition in late 2026 in their new space in Montreuil (the subject of this application), followed by an expanded version in 2027 at the Grandes Serres de Pantin.
The exhibition explores photography as an experimental medium, in dialogue with volume and space. Through a variety of techniques (analog, digital, screen printing, engraving, transfers), the artists transcend traditional forms in favor of sensitive and process-oriented approaches. The immersive scenography is complemented by roundtables, guided tours, and a podcast.
The methodology employed is based on a collaborative approach, involving artists, curator, graphic designer, and partners, as well as the pooling of skills (production, mediation, communication, publishing). The project also relies on concrete tools: event programming, the distribution of a fanzine, educational activities, and partnerships with schools and cultural institutions.
Finally, Sécantes distinguishes itself through its artistic and political stance. The choice to bring together exclusively women artists, as well as professionals (curator, graphic designer), reflects a desire to highlight the strength and relevance of women's work in the field of contemporary art. The project is also part of a broader reflection on collective organizational models, resource sharing, and the conditions of artists' production. It thus extends the values championed by Diamètre 15: collaboration, inclusivity, knowledge sharing, and community engagement. In this sense, Sécantes transcends the framework of an exhibition to become a tool for structuring, increasing visibility, and building networks, both for the artists, the collective, and independent creative spaces in Seine-Saint-Denis.
The Grandes-Serres de Pantin is a public hall overlooking the Canal de l’Ourcq, bringing together exhibition and concert spaces, food counters, daily services and business services, seminar spaces as well as an engaged cultural program. It's a place for shops, crafts, sports, music, art, and everyday services, catering to a diverse public: entrepreneurs, local residents, students, community and cultural organizations, businesses, and more. 11,000 m² of activities are housed in the large public hall near the Canal de l'Ourcq, complemented by nearly 3,000 m² of activities on the ground floors of the office buildings: a bicycle workshop, artisans' studios, exhibition spaces, and so on. Lively streets make Grandes-Serres a true neighborhood project. Convinced that contemporary art has a role to play in the city and in everyday life, Alios has hosted the Diament15 artists' collective and independent artists' residency here since 2017. This commitment will continue in the future with an art gallery, artists' studios, and a dedicated creative space.
