" Gabrielle Duplantier ist seit 20 Jahren freiberufliche Fotografin. Sie wuchs in einer Künstlerfamilie auf und seit ihrer frühen Kindheit finden ihre Fragen ihren Niederschlag im künstlerischen Schaffen; Sie kommt selbstständig und frei zur Fotografie. Inspiriert von der Natur, dem Territorium und den Menschen um sie herum, entwickelt sie seit mehreren Jahren eine Arbeit, in der das Intime und die Weiblichkeit im Mittelpunkt ihrer Forschung stehen. In der Serie mit dem Titel Wild Rose fotografiert sie die Natur als Rückzugsort und diejenigen, die ihrem Weg begegnen; Sie wirft auf diese Gesichter und auf diese Landschaften einen zarten, fast verliebten Blick, der in jedem Bild eine große Emotion zeigt. Die Schönheit zeigt sich hier in kleinen Details: Seine Bilder und sein Universum sind von einer Anmut und Einfachheit geprägt, die niemanden gleichgültig lassen.
Diese Reihe folgt auf seine ersten beiden Bücher Volta (2014) und Lowlands (2018).
Die meisten der hier gezeigten Fotografien wurden ab 2020 aufgenommen, einem Jahr, das das Ende mehrerer Reiseprojekte und den Beginn eines neuen Zyklus markiert: erzwungener Rückzug aufgrund der Covid-Krise, die Welt steht still, Gabrielle flüchtet sich in ihr Elternhaus und beschließt, ihr Leben zu ändern. Sie fängt Szenen aus ihrer nahen, vertrauten Umgebung ein, als würde sie sie wiederentdecken, wie eine Hommage, die sie sich von ihnen tragen lässt. Mit Wild Rose bietet uns Gabrielle Duplantier luftige und phantasmagorische Bilder in kraftvollem Schwarz-Weiß... Baumverflechtungen, Porträts von Frauen und Kindern, Fassaden alter Gebäude, Tiere als Boten. Man findet dort die Themen, die Gabrielle am Herzen liegen, mit einer Aura von wiedererlangter Beruhigung; man spürt eine Herzenslust, wie eine Versöhnung mit dem Leben."
Über diese Geschichte, die kein Projekt war, aber trotz ihrer eigenen zu einem wurde, arbeitete die Fotografin mit Leidenschaft und Diskretion und teilte ihre Bilder nur mit ihrem Herausgeber, David Fourré. Wild Rose ist ein zartes Buch, sowohl in seiner Form als auch in seinem Inhalt, und unterstreicht den Ansatz, den Gabrielle immer verfolgt hat: "Fotos machen heißt lieben, was man sieht."

" Gabrielle Duplantier has been a freelance photographer for 20 years. She grew up in a family of artists and, since her early childhood, her questions have taken shape in artistic creation; she arrives at photography as an autodidact, freely. Inspired by nature, the territory and the people around her, she has been developing for several years a work where intimacy and femininity are at the heart of her research. In the series entitled Wild Rose, she photographs nature as a refuge and those who cross her path; she poses on these faces and on these landscapes a tender, almost loving look that shows great emotion in each image. Beauty here is revealed in small nothings: his images and his universe are imbued with a grace and simplicity that do not leave indifferent·es.
This series follows his first two books, Volta (2014) and Terres basses (2018).
Most of the photographs presented here are taken from 2020, a year that marks the end of several travel projects and the beginning of a new cycle: forced withdrawal due to the Covid crisis, the world at a standstill, Gabrielle takes refuge in her family home, and decides to change her life. She captures scenes from her close, familiar environment, as if rediscovering it, as a tribute she lets herself be carried by them. With Wild Rose, Gabrielle Duplantier offers us aerial and phantasmagorical images in powerful black and white... interlacing of trees, portraits of women and children, facades of old buildings, messenger animals. We find there the subjects dear to Gabrielle with an air of appeasement found again, one feels a palpitation, like a reconciliation with life."
On this story, which was not a project but became one against her will, the photographer worked with passion and discretion, sharing her images only with her editor, David Fourré. Wild Rose is a tender book, both in form and content, and highlights the approach that Gabrielle has always taken: "To take photos is to love what you see."

" Gabrielle Duplantier è una fotografa indipendente da 20 anni. Cresce in una famiglia di artisti e, fin dalla sua infanzia, le sue domande trovano corpo nella creazione artistica; Arriva alla fotografia da autodidatta, liberamente. Ispirata alla natura, al territorio e alle persone che la circondano, sviluppa da diversi anni un lavoro in cui l'intimo e la femminilità sono al centro della sua ricerca. Nella serie intitolata Wild Rose fotografa la natura come un rifugio e coloro che si incrociano con lei; Lei pone su questi volti e su questi paesaggi uno sguardo tenero quasi innamorato che mostra ad ogni immagine una grande emozione. La bellezza qui si rivela in piccoli dettagli: le sue immagini e il suo universo sono caratterizzati da una grazia e una semplicità che non lasciano indifferenti.
Questa serie fa seguito alle sue prime due opere Volta (2014) e Terre basse (2018).
La maggior parte delle fotografie presentate qui sono state scattate a partire dal 2020, anno che segna la fine di diversi progetti di viaggio e l'inizio di un nuovo ciclo: ritiro forzato a causa della crisi del Covid, il mondo è fermo, Gabrielle si rifugia nella casa di famiglia e decide di cambiare vita. Cattura scene del suo ambiente vicino, familiare, come se lo riscoprisse, come un omaggio che si lascia portare da loro. Con Wild Rose, Gabrielle Duplantier ci offre immagini aeree e fantasmagoriche in potente bianco e nero... intrecci di alberi, ritratti di donne e bambini, facciate di vecchi edifici, animali messaggeri. Si ritrovano i soggetti cari a Gabrielle con un'aria di sollievo ritrovato, si sente una palpitazione, come una riconciliazione con la vita."
Su questa storia, che non era un progetto ma lo è diventata nonostante lei, la fotografa ha lavorato con passione e discrezione, condividendo le sue immagini solo con il suo editore, David Fourré. Wild Rose, è un libro tenero, sia per la forma che per il contenuto, e sottolinea l'approccio che Gabrielle ha sempre seguito: "Scattare foto significa amare ciò che si vede."

" Gabrielle Duplantier est photographe indépendante depuis 20 ans. Elle grandit dans une famille d’artistes et, depuis sa petite enfance, ses questionnements trouvent corps dans la création artistique ; elle arrive à la photographie en autodidacte, librement. Inspirée par la nature, le territoire et les gens qui l’entourent, elle développe depuis plusieurs années un travail où l’intime et la féminité sont au cœur de sa recherche. Dans la série intitulée Wild Rose elle photographie la nature comme repli et celles et ceux qui croisent son chemin; elle pose sur ces visages et sur ces paysages un regard tendre quasi amoureux qui montre à chaque image une grande émotion. La beauté ici se révèle dans des petits riens : ses images et son univers sont empreints d’une grâce et d’une simplicité qui ne laissent pas indifférent·es.
Cette série fait suite à ses deux premiers ouvrages Volta (2014) et Terres basses (2018).
La plupart des photographies présentées ici sont prises à partir de 2020, année qui marque la fin de plusieurs projets de voyages et le début d’un nouveau cycle : repli forcé dû à la crise Covid, le monde à l’arrêt, Gabrielle se réfugie dans sa maison familiale, et décide de changer de vie. Elle capture des scènes de son environnement proche, familier, comme si elle le redécouvrait, comme un hommage elle se laisse porter par eux. Avec Wild Rose, Gabrielle Duplantier nous offre des images aériennes et fantasmagoriques au noir et blanc puissant… entrelacs d’arbres, portraits de femmes et d’enfants, façades de vieux bâtiments, animaux messagers. On y retrouve les sujets chers à Gabrielle avec un air d’apaisement retrouvé, on y sent une palpitation, comme une réconciliation avec la vie."
Sur cette histoire, qui n’était pas un projet mais l’est devenu malgré elle, la photographe a travaillé avec passion et discrétion, ne partageant ses images qu'avec son éditeur, David Fourré. Wild Rose, est un livre tendre, tant par sa forme que par son contenu, et souligne l'approche que Gabrielle a toujours suivie : « Prendre des photos, c'est aimer ce que l'on voit. »

" Gabrielle Duplantier es fotógrafa independiente desde hace 20 años. Creció en una familia de artistas y, desde su infancia, sus interrogantes encuentran cuerpo en la creación artística; Ella llega a la fotografía como autodidacta, libremente. Inspirada por la naturaleza, el territorio y las personas que la rodean, desarrolla desde hace varios años un trabajo donde lo íntimo y la feminidad están en el corazón de su investigación. En la serie titulada Wild Rose, fotografía a la naturaleza como un refugio y a aquellos que se cruzan en su camino; Pone en estos rostros y paisajes una mirada tierna casi amorosa que muestra en cada imagen una gran emoción. La belleza aquí se revela en pequeños detalles: sus imágenes y su universo están marcados por una gracia y una simplicidad que no dejan indiferente a nadie.
Esta serie sigue a sus dos primeras obras Volta (2014) y Tierras bajas (2018).
La mayoría de las fotografías que se presentan aquí están tomadas a partir de 2020, año que marca el fin de varios proyectos de viaje y el comienzo de un nuevo ciclo: repliegue forzado debido a la crisis del Covid, el mundo está parado, Gabrielle se refugia en su casa familiar y decide cambiar de vida. Captura escenas de su entorno cercano, familiar, como si lo redescubriera, como un homenaje que se deja llevar por ellos. Con Wild Rose, Gabrielle Duplantier nos ofrece imágenes aéreas y fantasmagóricas en potente blanco y negro... entrelazados de árboles, retratos de mujeres y niños, fachadas de edificios antiguos, animales mensajeros. Allí se encuentran los temas queridos por Gabrielle con un aire de apaciguamiento recuperado, se siente una palpitación, como una reconciliación con la vida."
Sobre esta historia, que no era un proyecto sino que se convirtió en uno a pesar de ella, la fotógrafa trabajó con pasión y discreción, compartiendo sus imágenes solo con su editor, David Fourré. Wild Rose, es un libro tierno, tanto por su forma como por su contenido, y subraya el enfoque que Gabrielle siempre ha seguido: "Tomar fotos es amar lo que se ve."
