Laura Tisserand ist Plastikerin und Grafikerin. Sie lebt und arbeitet in Besançon. Nach ihrem Abschluss an der Kunstschule Straßburg (HEAR) studierte sie visuelle Didaktik.
Im Vorfeld präsentiert sie die Ausstellung Symbolon, ein plastisches und illustratives Projekt, das ein Eintauchen in die Welt der interkulturellen Symbole, die Wiege des menschlichen Glaubens, bietet. Etwa fünfzig Stücke bevölkern diese Serie in klaren und hellen Farben, die für die Ästhetik von Laura Tisserand charakteristisch sind. Diese Gegenstände wurden vom Künstler gesammelt und verwandelt, wobei der ganze mystische Teil mit Motiven wie dem Baum des Lebens, dem Mond oder der Schlange aufgenommen wurde.
Es hat den Anschein, als hätten die Menschen auf der ganzen Welt ein und dieselbe Sichtweise auf bestimmte Dinge gehabt, und zwar Tausende von Kilometern voneinander entfernt, Tausende von Jahren voneinander entfernt, in verschiedenen Kulturen, in denen dieselbe Geschichte erzählt wurde: die sogenannten «universellen» Symbole. Dort trägt der Baum den Himmel, während er die irdische Welt mit der himmlischen verbindet; er ist ein Symbol der Regeneration. Der Mond ist Symbol der ewigen Transformation. Die Schlange ist Symbol für Leben und Tod. All diese Bilder spiegeln die Geschichten unserer Menschlichkeit wider: Wo immer wir in der Welt sind, setzen wir dieselbe Symbolik in diese Dinge. Hier eine Reihe von Interpretationen von a priori universellen, magischen Symbolen in den Augen der Menschen.»

Laura Tisserand is a visual artist and graphic designer. She lives and works in Besançon. Graduated from the Strasbourg School of Art (HEAR), she studied visual didactics.
At the Préau, she presents the exhibition Symbolon, a plastic and illustrative project that offers an immersion in the world of intercultural symbols, the cradle of human beliefs. About fifty pieces populate this series with frank and bright colors, characteristic of the aesthetics of Laura Tisserand. These objects were collected and transformed by the artist by integrating all the mystical part, with patterns such as the tree of life, the moon or the snake.
'It would seem that throughout the world, humans have unanimously had the same view of certain things, thousands of kilometres away, millennia apart, in different cultures where the same story was told: that of the so-called «universal» symbols. There, the tree supports the sky while connecting the terrestrial world to the celestial world; it is a symbol of regeneration. The Moon is a symbol of eternal transformation. The serpent is a symbol of life and death. So many images that echo the stories of our humanities: wherever we are in the world, we put the same symbolism in these things. Here, a panel of interpretations of symbols that are a priori universal, magical in the eyes of humans. '

Laura Tisserand è un'artista e designer. Vive e lavora a Besançon. Laureata presso la Scuola d'arte di Strasburgo (HEAR), ha studiato didattica visiva.
Al Préau, presenta la mostra Symbolon, un progetto plastico e illustrativo che propone un'immersione nell'universo dei simboli interculturali, culla delle credenze umane. Una cinquantina di pezzi popolano questa serie dai colori schietti e luminosi, caratteristici dell'estetica di Laura Tisserand. Questi oggetti sono stati raccolti e trasformati dall'artista integrandovi tutta la parte mistica, con motivi come l'albero della vita, la luna o il serpente.
Sembra che in tutto il mondo, gli esseri umani abbiano avuto unanimemente lo stesso sguardo su certe cose, a migliaia di chilometri di distanza, a distanza di millenni, in culture diverse dove una stessa storia si raccontava: quella dei simboli detti «universali». Qui l'albero sostiene il cielo mentre collega il mondo terrestre al mondo celeste; è simbolo di rigenerazione. La Luna è simbolo dell'eterna trasformazione. Il serpente è simbolo di vita e di morte. Tante immagini che riecheggiano con le storie della nostra umanità: ovunque siamo nel mondo, mettiamo un medesimo simbolismo in queste cose. Qui, una serie di interpretazioni di simboli a priori universali, magici nello sguardo degli umani.»

Au Préau, elle présente l’exposition Symbolon, un projet plastique et illustratif qui propose une immersion dans l’univers des symboles interculturels, berceau des croyances humaines. Une cinquantaine de pièces peuplent cette série aux couleurs franches et lumineuses, caractéristiques de l’esthétique de Laura Tisserand. Ces objets ont été collectés puis transformés par l’artiste en y intégrant toute la part mystique, avec des motifs tel l’arbre de vie, la lune ou encore le serpent.
«Il semblerait qu’à travers le monde entier, les humain.e.s ont eu unanimement un même regard sur certaines choses et ce, à des milliers de kilomètres de distance, des millénaires d’intervalle, dans des cultures différentes où une même histoire se racontait : celle des symboles dits «universels». Là, l’arbre supporte le ciel tout en reliant le monde terrestre au monde céleste ; il est symbole de régénération. La Lune est symbole de l’éternelle transformation. Le serpent est symbole de vie et de mort. Autant d’images qui font écho avec les histoires de nos humanités : où que nous soyons dans le monde, nous mettons une même symbolique en ces choses. Ici, un panel d’interprétations de symboles a priori universels, magiques dans le regard des humain.e.s.»

En Préau, presenta la exposición Symbolon, un proyecto plástico e ilustrativo que propone una inmersión en el universo de los símbolos interculturales, cuna de las creencias humanas. Una cincuentena de piezas pueblan esta serie de colores francos y luminosos, características de la estética de Laura Tisserand. Estos objetos fueron recogidos y transformados por el artista integrando toda la parte mística, con motivos como el árbol de la vida, la luna o la serpiente.
Parecería que en todo el mundo, los humanos han tenido unánimemente una misma mirada sobre ciertas cosas, a miles de kilómetros de distancia, milenios de intervalo, en culturas diferentes donde se contaba una misma historia: la de los símbolos llamados «universales». Allí, el árbol soporta el cielo mientras conecta el mundo terrenal con el mundo celestial; es un símbolo de regeneración. La Luna es símbolo de la transformación eterna. La serpiente es símbolo de vida y muerte. Tantas imágenes que se hacen eco con las historias de nuestras humanidades: dondequiera que estemos en el mundo, ponemos una misma simbólica en estas cosas. Aquí, un panel de interpretaciones de símbolos a priori universales, mágicos en la mirada de los humanos.»
