Come draw on ink and get your hands dirty with Tom Tirabosco and his unique monotype technique.
Tom Tirabosco is an illustrator and comic book author from Geneva. After studying at the Geneva and Venice Schools of Fine Arts, he worked as a freelancer for Swiss and international media outlets. He is the author of some twenty graphic novels that have been translated into numerous languages.
In 2014, he won the Töpffer Prize for his graphic novel “Kongo” (script by Perrissin, Futuropolis, Paris), and his graphic novel “Femme sauvage” (Futuropolis, Paris) won the Tournesol Prize at the 2020 Angoulême International Comics Festival.
In 2020, the Cartoonmuseum in Basel dedicated a major exhibition to him, tracing thirty years of his work.
In 2023, he won the FEMS Prize (Édouard and Maurice Sandoz Foundation) for an illustrated fantasy story titled “L’Engoulevent” (Éditions Cadrat, Geneva).
Tom Tirabosco is one of the founders of the ESBDI (Geneva School of Comics and Illustration), where he teaches one day a week.

Viens dessiner sur de l’encre et te salir les mains avec Tom Tirabosco et sa technique particulière du monotype.
Tom Tirabosco est un illustrateur et auteur de BD genevois. Après des études aux Beaux-Arts de Genève et Venise, il travaille comme indépendant pour la presse suisse et étrangère. Il est l’auteur d’une vingtaine d’albums traduits dans de nombreuses langues.
En 2014, il obtient le Prix Töpffer pour son album « »Kongo » » (scénario Perrissin, Futuropolis, Paris) et son album « »Femme sauvage » » (Futuropolis, Paris) gagne le Prix Tournesol au Festival d’Angoulême 2020.
En 2020, Le Cartoonmuseum de Bâle lui consacre une grande exposition retraçant trente ans de dessin.
En 2023, il est lauréat du Prix FEMS (Fondation Edouard et Maurice Sandoz) avec un récit fantastique illustré intitulé « »L’Engoulevent « »(Éditions Cadrat, Genève).
Tom Tirabosco est l’un des fondateurs de l’ESBDI (l’École supérieure de bande dessinée et d’illustration de Genève) où il enseigne un jour par semaine.
