The French Sign Language (LSF) program at the University of Lille offers, in partnership with the Deaf and Health network of the GHICL, a film debate around the movie Sorda (national release scheduled for April 1, 2026).
The film tells the story of Angela, deaf from birth, who is expecting her first child and questions her ability to become a mother in a world that is still not inclusive for deaf people.
Long-standing partner of the Deaf and Health network since its creation, the LSF sector maintains close links with it. The LSF/French Interpreting Master’s contributes to this in particular. The network regularly intervenes in our training courses. It also welcomes students in internship every year.
This cine-débat is also part of the 25th anniversary of the Deaf and Health network, celebrated in April 2026 with the support of the ARS, whose objectives are to strengthen accessibility to healthcare, promote exchanges between deaf and hearing people, mobilize health actors, of education and the associative world, and promote LSF and the deaf culture.
Synopsis
Angela is deaf, Hector is hearing. They form a fulfilled and happy couple despite
their difference. But the birth of their first child worries Angela: will she be able to create
a connection with his daughter? How to learn to become a mother in a world that forgets if
often to include those who do not hear?

La filière Langue des signes française (LSF) de l'Université de Lille propose, en partenariat avec le réseau Sourds et santé du GHICL, un ciné-débat autour du film Sorda (sortie nationale prévue le 1er avril 2026).
Le film raconte l'histoire d'Angela, sourde de naissance, qui attend son premier enfant et s'interroge sur sa capacité à devenir mère dans un monde encore peu inclusif pour les personnes sourdes.
Partenaire historique du réseau Sourds et santé depuis sa création, la filière LSF entretient des liens étroits avec celui-ci. Le master Interprétariat LSF/français y contribue tout particulièrement. Le réseau intervient régulièrement dans nos formations. Il accueille également chaque année des étudiantes et étudiants en stage.

De sector Franse gebarentaal (LSF) van de Universiteit van Lille biedt, in samenwerking met het GHICL's Sourds and Health Network, een bioscoopdebat aan rond de film Sorda (nationale release gepland voor 1 april 2026).
De film vertelt het verhaal van Angela, doof van geboorte, die haar eerste kind verwacht en zich afvraagt of ze moeder kan worden in een wereld die nog steeds niet inclusief is voor doven.
De LSF-sector is sinds zijn oprichting een historische partner van het doven- en gezondheidsnetwerk en onderhoudt nauwe banden met het netwerk. De LSF/Franse doctoraatsopleiding draagt daar in het bijzonder toe bij. Het netwerk grijpt regelmatig in bij onze training. Het verwelkomt ook studenten die elk jaar stage lopen.
Dit bioscoopdebat maakt ook deel uit van de vijfentwintigste verjaardag van het doven- en gezondheidsnetwerk, dat in april 2026 werd gevierd met steun van ARS, dat tot doel heeft de toegankelijkheid tot gezondheid te verbeteren, uitwisselingen tussen doven en gehoor te bevorderen, belanghebbenden op het gebied van de gezondheidszorg te mobiliseren, Onderwijs en de associatieve wereld, en bevorderen LSF en dove cultuur.
Synopsis
Angela is doof, Hector hoort. Ze vormen een gelukkig en gelukkig stel ondanks
hun verschil. Maar de geboorte van hun eerste kind baart Angela zorgen: Zal zij creëren
een connectie met zijn dochter? Hoe te leren moeder te worden in een wereld die vergeet of
