On September 12, 5940, four teenagers from the continental lithosphere make one of the most prestigious archaeological discoveries of the 60th century. While they dig tunnels for fun, they open up on a gigantic cave: an entire city is buried there, forgotten since the 21st century. Thanks to this discovery, our scientific teams were able to build up what is now the travelling collection of the Anthropocene Museum.
The Anthropocene Museum invites the visitor to contemplate and feel the authentic emotion of life in the twenty-first century, to learn how to observe it, to question it and to reflect on the environmental, political, cultural and metaphysical context in which it took place. Our museum brings together a collection of works, objects and archives exhibited and commented in such a way that the visitor can explore the lost Anthropocene civilization as well as from within.

Le 12 septembre 5940, quatre adolescents originaires de la lithosphère continentale font une des découvertes archéologiques les plus prestigieuses du 60e siècle. Alors qu'ils creusent des tunnels pour s'amuser, ils débouchent sur une grotte gigantesque : une ville entière est enfouie là, oubliée depuis le XXIe siècle. Grâce à cette découverte, nos équipes scientifiques ont pu constituer ce qui est désormais la collection itinérante de l'Anthropocène Muséum.
L'Anthropocène Muséum invite le visiteur à contempler et ressentir l'émotion authentique de la vie au XXIe siècle, à apprendre à l'observer, à la questionner et à réfléchir au contexte environnemental, politique, culturel et métaphysique dans lequel elle a eu lieu. Notre musée regroupe une collection d'œuvres, d'objets et d'archives exposées et commentées de façon à ce que le visiteur puisse explorer la civilisation anthropocène disparue comme de l'intérieur.

Op 12 september 5940 maakten vier tieners uit de continentale lithosfeer een van de meest prestigieuze archeologische ontdekkingen van de 60e eeuw. Als ze tunnels voor de lol graven, belanden ze in een gigantische grot: Daar ligt een hele stad begraven, vergeten sinds de 21e eeuw. Dankzij deze ontdekking konden onze wetenschappelijke teams bouwen wat nu de reizende collectie van het Antropocene Muséum is.
Het Antropocene Museum nodigt bezoekers uit om de authentieke emotie van het leven in de 21e eeuw na te denken en te voelen, te leren observeren, te ondervragen en na te denken over de ecologische, politieke, culturele en metafysische context waarin het plaatsvond. Ons museum brengt een collectie tentoongestelde en becommentarieerde werken, voorwerpen en archieven samen zodat de bezoeker de verloren Antropocene beschaving van binnenuit kan verkennen.
