Discover first of all the parietal art by participating in the creation of a large common fresco that will stage mammoths, bison and other animals of this period. Just with your hands or fingers, using bristles or vegetable fiber brushes, apply ochres in different shades of mineral or vegetable origin to restore the ambiences of Chauvet and Lascaux. (Continuous from 3 years)
Take the opportunity to learn about hunter-gatherer lifestyles: techniques for making fire, bone and flint work, processing skins to make warm clothes—learn how the men and women of that time lived in close contact with nature to survive.
The workshop «Retra'son» will give you ideas on the origin of musical practices or «how did Man, listening to the sound universe of his environment, manage to imitate it, repeat it, go beyond it to create an abstract language?». Four sessions of 45 minutes will allow you to discover the instrumentarium of prehistoric music and to make a whistle, a bone flute or a rhombe. (At 3:15, 4:15, 5:15 and 6:15 – from age 7)
Many other workshops will allow you to better understand this period by creating a clay amulet or venus, making a stone pearl, and investigating the death of Otzi, the famous mummy discovered in the Alps.
