The alienation that strikes the two characters, lost in the constraints of an authoritarian system, takes on a universal dimension and then reveals the complexity of all the paradoxical facets of the individual when his existence is threatened.
In this closed-door setting with its grating humor, the tearing between the two men, who are opposed by everything, questions and disturb: the spectator oscillates between innocent observation and moral complicity in this humanist tragedy, where freedom is 'at stake'...

L'aliénation qui frappe les deux personnages, perdus au milieu des contraintes d'un système autoritaire, prend une dimension universelle et révèle alors la complexité de toutes les facettes paradoxales de l’individu quand son existence est menacée.
Dans ce huis clos à l’humour grinçant, le déchirement entre les deux hommes, que tout oppose, interpelle et dérange : le spectateur oscille entre observation innocente et complicité morale dans cette tragédie humaniste, où la liberté est "en jeu"...

Een bescheiden brouwer biedt een van zijn werknemers, een gecontroleerde en gecensureerde schrijver, een verbazingwekkende markt.
De vervreemding die de twee personages treft, verloren in de beperkingen van een autoritair systeem, neemt een universele dimensie aan en onthult vervolgens de complexiteit van alle paradoxale facetten van het individu wanneer zijn bestaan wordt bedreigd.
In deze gesloten-deur setting met zijn grillige humor, de scheuren tussen de twee mannen, die door alles tegengesteld zijn, vragen en onrust: De toeschouwer schommelt tussen onschuldige observatie en morele medeplichtigheid aan deze humanistische tragedie, waar vrijheid 'op het spel staat'...
