The FIFDH invites you to an open-air screening at the Centre d’hébergement collectif de Feuillasse, in Meyrin! As night falls, come and discover Riverboom, a film by Claude Baechtold that won the Champ-Dollon Jury Award at the 2025 FIFDH.
Riverboom is the odyssey of three young reporters in Afghanistan, shortly after the attacks of 11 September 2001. Miles away from Kabul and with a camera bought at the market, Claude Baechtold will film the adventures of Serge, a moralist journalist and workaholic, and Paolo, a photographer as jovial as he is oblivious. Riverboom is a story of encounters, serendipity and the unexpected. One day, Claude Baechtold receives a call from Serge Michel. The journalist asked him to accompany him by car to Kabul.

Le FIFDH vous propose une projection en plein air au Centre d’hébergement collectif de Feuillasse, à Meyrin ! À la tombée de la nuit, venez découvrir Riverboom, le film de Claude Baechtold qui a remporté le Prix du Jury de Champ-Dollon, lors de l’édition FIFDH 2025.
Riverboom, c’est l’odyssée de trois jeunes reporters en Afghanistan, peu après les attentats du 11 septembre 2001. À des kilomètres de Kaboul et avec une caméra achetée au bazar, Claude Baechtold va filmer les aventures de Serge, un journaliste moraliste et bourreau de travail et de Paolo, un photographe aussi jovial qu’inconscient. Riverboom est une histoire de rencontres, de hasards et d’imprévus. Un jour, Claude Baechtold reçoit un appel de Serge Michel. Le journaliste lui demande de l’accompagner en voiture jusqu’à Kaboul.
