Mit schwarzem Kopf, makelloser Kehle und tiefroten Flügeln beflügeln Vögel unsere Fantasie. Auf die ersten enzyklopädischen Summen folgten große Luxusalben und Fachpublikationen, gefolgt von bescheidenen Formaten, die für ein breites Publikum bestimmt waren. In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Naturalisten Pierre Baumgart zeigt die Genfer Bibliothek ihre schönsten Originalausgaben.

With their black crested heads, immaculate throats and intense red wings, birds are a source of great inspiration to our imagination. The first encyclopedic sums were followed by large luxury albums and specialized publications, followed by modest formats intended for a wide audience. In collaboration with Pierre Baumgart, naturalist artist, the Bibliothèque de Genève unveils its most beautiful original editions.
