Dive into the captivating world of ghostnets, abandoned fishing nets recovered after drifting in the oceans and transformed into veritable works of art. First, we invite you to take an in-depth look at the ghostnets on display in MEG's permanent exhibition.
Then, give free rein to your creativity at a workshop where you can give new life to recycled materials, creating creations inspired by these fascinating structures.
It's a unique opportunity to take care of our planet in a creative way, while reflecting on the impact of our actions in the face of the climate crisis.
The event takes place on the first Sunday of the month, so it's free and there's no need to register beforehand.
Through this series of ‘think and act’ events, we hope to help you tackle the urgent issue of climate change through the prism of MEG's specific characteristics. By tackling themes such as green colonialism, care, repair, food, clothing and the transmission of knowledge and know-how, we hope to make the impact that our everyday actions can have on the environment more perceptible, and thus question our relationship with it.

Plongez dans l’univers captivant des ghostnets, ces filets de pêche abandonnés, récupérés après leur dérive dans les océans, puis métamorphosés en véritables œuvres d’art. Nous vous invitons tout d’abord à une observation approfondie des ghostnets exposés dans l’exposition permanente du MEG. Ensuite, laissez libre cours à votre créativité lors d’un atelier où vous pourrez redonner vie à des matériaux de récupération, en réalisant des créations inspirées par ces fascinantes structures.
Une occasion unique de prendre soin de notre planète de manière créative tout en réfléchissant à l’impact de nos actions face à la crise climatique.
Cet événement se déroule dans le cadre du premier dimanche du mois, il est donc gratuit et sans inscription au préalable.
À travers cette série de rendez-vous «pour réfléchir et agir» nous souhaitons aborder avec vous les questions de l’urgence climatique par le prisme des spécificités du MEG. En abordant des thématiques telles que le colonialisme vert, le soin, la réparation, l’alimentation, l’habillement, ou encore la transmission des savoirs et savoir-faire nous souhaitons rendre perceptible l’impact que nos gestes quotidiens peuvent avoir sur l’environnement et ainsi questionner nos relations avec celui-ci.
