Two men, two guitars — and yet it has it all. Alejandro and Estevan Gutiérrez, the sons of a Swiss father and an Ecuadorian mother, grew up in Zurich whilst drawing their musical inspiration from Playas, on Ecuador’s Pacific coast.
From this dual heritage emerged a unique instrumental sound, somewhere between the arid vastness of an imaginary Wild West and the nostalgia of 1960s Italian cinema — with Morricone in the background and Latin rhythms as the foundation.
Their album El Bueno y el Malo, recorded under the guidance of Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys, propelled them onto the international stage and earned them a Grammy nomination. Sonido Cósmico (2024) confirms their trajectory.
Music that sings without a singer — and which continues to take the Antigel audience on a journey.

Deux guitares, un cosmos onirique et mille paysages : les frères Gutiérrez, nés entre Zurich et l'Équateur, font chanter le désert comme personne.
Deux hommes, deux guitares — et pourtant tout y est. Alejandro et Estevan Gutiérrez, fils d'un père suisse et d'une mère équatorienne, ont grandi à Zurich en allant chercher leur âme musicale à Playas, sur la côte pacifique de l'Équateur.
De cette double appartenance est né un son instrumental unique, quelque part entre l'immensité aride d'un Ouest sauvage imaginaire et la nostalgie du cinéma italien des années soixante — Morricone en filigrane, rythmes latins en socle.
Leur album El Bueno y el Malo, enregistré sous la houlette de Dan Auerbach des Black Keys, les propulse sur la scène internationale et leur vaut une nomination aux Grammys. Sonido Cósmico (2024) confirme leur trajectoire.
Une musique qui chante sans chanteur — et qui n'a pas fini de faire voyager le public d'Antigel.
