The Deep Time Walk is an immersive experience that invites you to journey through the history of the Earth… by walking.
Over a 4.6 km route, each metre represents one million years. Step by step, we travel through the 4.6 billion years of our planet’s history, from its formation to the present day.
But the Deep Time Walk is more than an original way of discovering the history of the Earth. By experiencing, through our bodies, the immensity of the time that came before us, it invites us to “zoom out”: to sense where we come from, to see our place within the living world differently, and to look at our own time — and humanity’s place within it — with fresh eyes.
The walk combines scientific storytelling, moments of reflection and silence, sensory experiences and conversation. It is an experience for the head, heart and body.
Two groups will walk in parallel: one in French and one in English.
Route: 4.6 km, mainly on trails
Ages 15 and up. Registration required.
Pay what feels right: everyone contributes according to their means.
